Burnley vs Aston Villa, Wednesday, 6 PM GMT
Burnley made a huge surprise last week with a win over Liverpool at Anfield.
Burnley’s attack is still the worst in the league, but on the other hand the defense has been playing at a top level in recent weeks. Liverpool had possession and complete dominance in that match, but the only goal was scored by Barnes from the penalty spot and brought his team three points.
With those three points, Burnley climbed to the fifteenth position, and has a seven-point advantage over Fulham, which is in the relegation zone.
It is a positive thing for Burnley that all players are available for this match.
After the defeat at Man City, Aston Villa celebrated 2-0 against Newcastle United over the weekend.
It was a match in which Villa dominated from the first minute. They took an early lead, scored once more at the end of the half, and then slowly brought the game to an end against weak opponent.
Now Aston Villa is in eighth position, with three points less than West Ham, but also with two games less. In fact, the guests are only five points away from third-placed Liverpool, and they have two games less than them.
Aston Villa also have a great situation with absences because only defender Kortney Hause will be missing, which is not a problem.
I don’t understand why Aston Villa is such a favorite in this game because Burnley is playing in better and better shape. Yes, they often struggle in attack, but it is extremely difficult to score a goal against them.
However, I’m not going here with an outcome but taking fewer goals. Fewer goals is always a good bet when playing Burnley.
I don’t think we will see many goals here either, which is why I recommend this bet.
