BARCELONA – The best football player of Barcelona, Lionel Messi, has cost the club more than half a billion euros in the last four years, and his “pharaonic contract” is destroying the club, the newspaper El Mundo reported.

The total figure of Messi’s salary from 2017 to 2021 in Barcelona is estimated at 555,237,619 euros, gross, reports El Mundo.
When taxes are deducted, it is estimated that the Argentine player collected about 297 million euros, or about 74 million net per year or 210,297 euros per day.
