Fifa to propose extra $3.4bn for development funding
Fifa is set to propose a $3.4bn increase in the amount of money it hands out for football development across the world, according to BBC Sport.
The planned rise would represent a significant boost to the governing body’s development funding, with the proposal now set to go before Fifa.
No further details were provided on how the extra money would be allocated or when the proposal could be approved. The size of the increase, however, makes this a notable development in football’s global financial structure.
