Coventry end long home wait and climb out of danger

Coventry have climbed out of the relegation zone after ending a 25-year wait for a top-flight goal and victory in front of their own fans, according to the BBC.

The result gives the club a significant lift after a long period without celebrating that kind of success at home in the top flight. It also means Coventry have moved clear of the relegation zone for now.

The wait for both a home top-flight goal and a home top-flight win had stretched across 25 years, making the breakthrough especially notable for supporters. Coventry will hope the result provides momentum after a difficult spell near the bottom of the table.
