Lille considering legal action over Santos tackle
Lille are considering legal action after defender Tiago Santos was injured in a tackle the club described as “uncontrolled and dangerous”, according to BBC Sport.
The French club have not confirmed any formal move yet, but the possibility of legal action underlines how seriously they view the incident. Their description of the challenge leaves little doubt about their stance on the tackle.
No further details about the injury or any immediate disciplinary outcome were included in the report. For Lille, the issue now appears to be both the condition of Santos and the wider response to the challenge that left him hurt.
The situation could have wider implications if Lille do decide to pursue action, particularly with regard to how such incidents are handled. For now, though, the club’s position is clear: they believe the tackle was dangerous and are weighing their next step.
